Uyku, hepimizin iş hayatını, özel yaşantılarımızı, sosyal hayatlarımızı kısaca günlük rutinlerimizi doğrudan etkileyen aynı zamanda yaşam kalitemizi de artıran bir etkendir. Özellikle yoğun bir güne başlamadan önce sağlıklı bir uyku uyumak, güne daha zinde ve enerjik başlamak oldukça önemlidir. Bu sebeple sağlıklı uykunun hayatımızdaki önemi yadsınamaz. Kaliteli bir uyku, güne daha motive başlamanın bir diğer sırrıdır ve kaliteli uyku için de en önemli faktörlerden biri uyku saatleri, bir diğeri ise doğru yatak seçimi olacaktır. Bu sayede bağışıklık sistemi de daha güçlü olacak ve yaşam kalitesi artacaktır.
Zaman zaman ideal uyku süresi kişinin günlük yaşantısına da bağlı olabiliyor. Yoğun bir günün ardından ihtiyaç duyulan uyku süresi ile daha sakin bir gün geçirince ihtiyaç duyulan uyku süreleri de değişkenlik gösterebilir. Kısaca ideal uyku süresi birçok etkene bağlı olarak değişecektir. Fakat bu uyku süresinin daha sağlıklı olması için saat 23.00’da başlamasına özen gösterilmesi önerilmektedir.
Kişinin ihtiyacına uygun bir yatağa sahip olması uyku kalitesini etkilediği için yaşam kalitesini de doğrudan etkileyerek günlük performansı artırabilir ya da yeterli miktarda uyunmazsa, kişi için yanlış bir yatak seçimi ile uyursa günün verimini azaltacaktır.
